Auctionopia to Make Debut at 2012 Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition

The IRCE is one of the world's largest e-commerce events, expecting nearly 9,000 e-retailing executives to unveil the latest practices and tools for connecting with the 21st Century consumer

2012-05-18
CHICAGO, IL, May 18, 2012 (Press-News.org) Auctionopia, a free online auction marketplace, today announced the company will be making its debut at the 2012 Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition, held from June 5-8, 2012, and will be located at Booth #121. Designed to simplify and foster communication through the use of instant messenger, Auctionopia offers an ideal alternative to the traditional auction experience.

By incorporating a retail leg into Auctionopia's online auction marketplace, retailers will experience a comfortable transition into Auctionopia's current business model. If a retailer does not wish to list their item(s) in an auction, they have the option to list their product(s) as "Retail", while still reaping the benefits of not having a final sale fee. The products listed will remain on the site indefinitely, until they are sold or removed by the seller.

"Auctionopia was created to reinvent the online marketplace by offering a free platform that solved the communication barrier experienced by buyers and casual sellers," stated Tom Popomaronis, CEO, Auctionopia. "Through our developments, we realized that retailers could benefit as well by utilizing a new platform where they can easily sell their goods, increase sales, and expand product availability and customer base."

In addition to the retail feature, Auctionopia has also incorporated personalized storefronts into the company's offerings, allowing retailers to create their own store URL. With several storefront options, sellers will benefit from free-featured products on their store page, customizable templates to create a brand for each store, as well as a personal store banner.

Auctionopia will be giving away a $199 a year storefront for free for any company that signs up at the booth. Auctionopia will be providing hands-on support by assisting the company in setting up their store, establishing their brand, and delivering their inventory. In addition, Auctionopia will be featuring a raffle in which one winner will receive a Kindle Fire.

About Auctionopia
Auctionopia officially launched in 2012 with the purpose of reinventing the online auction marketplace to simplify and foster communication between buyers and sellers. Through the use of instant message integration, Auctionopia provides a free online platform that makes the buying, selling and negotiating experience user-friendly, delivering "Your Perfect Auction Experience."
