MIAMI, FL, June 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) As part of its commitment to the community, Panter, Panter, & Sampedro, P.A. sponsors several scholarship awards each year. With the school year drawing to a close, they were proud to once again sponsor the South Miami Kendall Bar Association High School Scholarship Award. The recipient, Michael Castano, was awarded the $1,500 scholarship during the association's May luncheon.
Selected because of his extraordinary academic achievements, his vast contributions to the community through service, as well as his drive to attend law school, Mr. Castano will be attending Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He had this to say in a thank you letter to the firm:

I am writing to thank you for your generous $1,500 South Miami Kendall Bar Association Annual High School Scholarship award. I was very happy and appreciative to learn that I was selected as the recipient of your scholarship.
I am an Electrical Engineering major with an emphasis in computer science. I plan to pursue a career in law upon graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). After graduation, I hope to attend Harvard Law School to earn my Juris Doctor degree. Thanks to you, I am one step closer to that goal!
By awarding me this scholarship, you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning. Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community. I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me.
