BROOKLYN, NY, June 08, 2012
Amnesty International just launched a compelling new campaign, "One More Voice", featuring an anthem specially written for Amnesty International's 50th anniversary by Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer and composer Lorne Bafle, and narration by three-time Oscar winner Meryl Streep.Produced by Citizen Group in San Francisco, "One More Voice" is a collaborative project that features contributions from new and established directors through a special, worldwide partnership with the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers, also known by the name of IQ Film. Production took place in countries on six continents, including Egypt, Abu Dhabi, Australia, Hong Kong, Kenya, the Czech Republic, Ecuador, Hungary, India, Switzerland, Sweden, South Africa and a number of U.S. cities. http://www.youtube.com/user/AmnestyInternational
"The videos and PSAs help capture a moment in time when freedom is breaking out all over the world, and a movement that is connected and committed to human rights for all people," says Citizen Group founder Robin Raj, who served as creative director for the project. "It was a pleasure to collaborate with such a talented international community of filmmakers, both young and established, who each contributed scenes to the project from afar."
The film and PSAs are being launched on Amnesty's youtube channel, through an Amnesty email blast and by broadcast. Its release is tied with that of the annual report. Its goal is to inspire and mobilize. Chapters all over the world will also release the film, as there is a USA version and a generic version. Usually the release of Amnesty films know an organic growth as chapters promote it. Broadcast is provided free of charge and station managers will give more air time if they like the films and if the films are echoing with the audience. In the US the broadcast donated by the media can exceed 1 MYO dollars in value.
Suzanne Nossel, executive director, Amnesty International USA, says: "This video beautifully captures the heart of our movement—individuals all over the world who speak out for the cause of justice and freedom and demand human rights for everyone. From raucous celebrations in city centers to the silent hunger strikes of prisoners in isolation, "One More Voice" reminds us all that when we unite and come together our voices can help create a more just world."
The International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers (IQ) is the only global organization dedicated to film production company owners. With representation in more than 45 countries, members share work and catch up with new business developments at the legendary IQ annual conferences.
