CESI Hosts 1st Annual Home Ownership Day Event

In honor of June being National Home Ownership month, CESI (Consumer Education Services Inc.) hosted its 1st Annual Home Ownership Day event.

RALEIGH, NC, June 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) In honor of June being National Home Ownership month, CESI (Consumer Education Services Inc.) hosted its 1st Annual Home Ownership Day event to provide the community valuable information about the important steps to take along the way to homeownership. Held at The Raleigh Girls' Club, located at 701 North Raleigh Boulevard, this free event introduced more than 300 members of the community to home purchasing counseling services from experts such as Wells Fargo, Self Help CDC, Coldwell Banker/Howard Perry & Walston and Success Realty of Durham.

Geared towards the low to moderate income population, CESI's Housing Counseling division offered workshops that covered topics such as: credit education, customized counseling, home buyer education and foreclosure prevention.

"We are very encouraged by the large turn-out for this inaugural event, but we were equally excited about the sincere interest the participants demonstrated to learning how to improve their financial lives," said Sheryl Merritt, CESI Housing Program Manager. "CESI hopes to host additional financial education seminars covering different topics throughout the community in the coming months."

CESI is a not-for-profit organization for consumers who want financial freedom by offering a complete life cycle of services: debt management, housing counseling, credit counseling, financial education and pre-bankruptcy counseling.
