MANILA, PHILIPPINES, June 27, 2012 (Press-News.org) Manila is set to be infested by hordes of the shambling undead on July 28th 2012 when the Outbreak Manila fun run is held at Bonifacio Global City.
Inspired by the US-based Run For Your Lives event, Outbreak Manila challenges participants to complete a five km race while being pursued by murderous zombies - played in reality by willing volunteers.
Each "living" runner will be given three flags representing their life force, which the pursuing zombie horde will be trying to steal from them in lieu of eating their brains.
Those who complete the race with at least one life intact will be in with a chance of winning a prize, while everyone else will simply be able to enjoy getting active in a uniquely engaging way.
Registration fees for the race cost 800 pesos (GBP12), which includes a special shirt, a race bib, a belt full of life flags and other assorted freebies.
Meanwhile, those who wish to register as zombies are encouraged to visit the event's official Facebook page and upload a video of their best zombie impression to be in with a chance of joining the flesh-eating legions.
