TAMARAC, FL, June 28, 2012 (Press-News.org) Recognizing that adjusters have very few resources to help them calculate "like kind and quality" (LKQ) pricing of various floor coverings, PuroSystems Inc., the franchisor of the PuroClean franchise network, has developed a proprietary onsite floor covering replacement cost value assessment system (patent pending). The OnSightLKQ is currently being deployed and will prove to significantly reduce cycle time and claim costs while increasing customer service satisfaction.
The OnSightLKQ service is executed by a trained PuroClean service provider as one of the many services they provide in fulfilling their role in water or fire mitigation and cleaning. The system takes approximately 10 minutes to execute at the loss site and is conducted through a web-based deductive reasoning logic engine supported by a 41,000 line item database. The database is comprised of floor covering manufacturing specifications with matching retail pricing for local market accuracy and like kind quality matching. The resultant assessment valuation report is sent immediately to the adjuster via email and imbedded in PuroClean's internal database.
"The OnSightLKQ system provides the insurance industry with a simple, consistent, fast and inexpensive method to assess carpet LKQ at the loss site with defensible accuracy," said Steve Leger, Executive Vice President for PuroClean. "Additionally, each time an assessment is conducted to produce an LKQ report, it includes a list of participating local flooring retailers that the homeowner can contact to acquire the flooring they need. This function is optional to the insurance carrier."
The OnSightLKQ system was originally devised in 2011 to help adjusters move through the floor covering replacement cost valuation process more swiftly and thus allowing them to offer a new level of service to the customer in terms of rapid settlement and better acceptance of the valuation. Other common approaches can take up to 2-3 days, which is always problematic for cycle time management. Another prominent feature of the system is that it allows the customer to view, if not actually participate in the logical process of identifying and valuating the damaged flooring thus reducing valuation pushback.
"Customers and adjusters alike appreciate knowing the flooring allowance early in the claim so they can move forward with the completion of the restoration," said Leger. "The system also allows for the referral of preapproved flooring retailers who agree to the pricing model as well as the swift completion of the assignment."
For more information about the OnSightLKQ system or to participate in the program pilot, please contact Steve Leger, EVP at sleger@puroclean.com.

After the storm, the shingles simply lay back down in place - looking fine. If that sealing strip is compromised, then your roof likely needs to be replaced. This sealing strip is critically important to the integrity, functionality and longevity of your roof. If the sealing strip is compromised, your roof will likely start leaking within a year or two of the wind event. That is why you need to have it examined immediately, before it starts leaking.
