Plumb and Parts Center reveal golfing talent

Plumb Center & Parts Center employees recently took to the golf course at the exclusive Dyrham Park Golf & Country Club, along with their manufacturers and key customers for the Plumb & Parts Center Invitational Southern Pro Am Golf Day.

2010-10-01
SALISBURY, ENGLAND, October 01, 2010 (Press-News.org) Spirits were high as the sun shone throughout the day with a total of 22 teams competing over 18 holes. The teams included regional Pros selected by the PGA, however, it was the Plumb & Parts Center directors who led their teams to success with, Alan Stevenson, Plumb Center's Trading Director securing first prize for his team who finished 12 under par.

The prize winning teams were not the only winners on the day with over GBP1,200 raised for Action for Children through a charity hole competition and a raffle. Action for Children is one of the UK's leading children's charities and dedicates its efforts to supporting children and young people affected by poverty, disability, abuse or neglect. Action for Children has nearly 420 projects around the UK and helps about 156,000 children, young people and their families across the UK.

Alan Stevenson said: "Getting out of the office and being able to meet with colleagues, manufacturers and customers on the golf course is always welcome, but of course fundraising lies very much at the heart of Plumb & Parts Center and we were therefore very pleased to have been able to raise such a significant sum for Action for Children."
