SAN FRANCISCO, CA, July 01, 2012 (Press-News.org) June 29, 2012 - San Francisco, CA - The Center for Wooden Boats in Seattle will be going mobile with their fundraising efforts using Give by Cell's Mobile Give platform. By texting "BOAT" to 20222, visitors and boat enthusiasts can donate $5, with the charge applied to their mobile phone bill. Donations will go towards preserving and supporting the center.

"The Center for Wooden Boats is pleased to partner with Give by Cell to allow attendees of the 2012 Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival to make a donation to support the event on their mobile phones," said Erin Schiedler, Communications Coordinator. "In recent years, festival attendees have been more likely to pass through the entry gates of our free festival without making a donation because they do not carry cash. We are hoping that mobile giving will be an additional way for our visitors to support this amazing cultural event."
