AsiaRooms.com - Rock Superstars Radiohead to Play First Taipei Show this July

Acclaimed English rock band Radiohead will be playing live at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre on July 25th 2012.

2012-07-03
TAIPEI, TAIWAN, July 03, 2012 (Press-News.org) Taipei's Nangang Exhibition Centre will play host to a concert by multimillion-selling rock sensations Radiohead on July 25th 2012.

It will be the first time that Taiwanese audiences have had a chance to see the internationally acclaimed British band live, coming as part of their 2012 global tour, which began in Miami in February.

Radiohead have won widespread recognition since coming to prominence in the early 1990s for their cerebral and often avant-garde approach to rock music.

Their discography includes albums such as Pablo Honey, Hail to the Thief, The Bends and OK Computer, one of the most widely-acclaimed records of the 90s.

Radiohead's critical success has been matched by enduring commercial popularity, with the band having sold more than 30 million records over the years.

The Taipei show will begin at 20:00 local time on the Wednesday night, with all-standing tickets priced at either 2,500 or 4,000 Taiwanese dollars (GBP53.70 or GBP85.90).

Taiwan is one of only a handful of Asian locations where Radiohead will be performing this year, with Jisan in South Korea and Niigata in Japan among the others.

AsiaRooms.com recommends a huge selection of hotels in Taipei that may appeal to fans of the band, including the Caesar Park Hotel Taipei.
