ALLIANCE, OH, July 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) Novosoft, an acclaimed provider of data protection solutions for Windows and mixed OS networks, announced the release of a new version of Handy Backup software. The product is reported to be oriented high backup speeds featured via renewed algorithms of data transfer and network management. The improvements are specifically related to FTP and Cloud backup functionality.
"As you have probably heard, the world is moving fast - faster than ever before - and we are all along for the ride. We are using high speed internet, consuming quickly developed technologies, and even thinking faster than ever before. As the data are moving fast, the data protection tools must correspond. So, meet Handy Backup 7.2, one of the fastest backup solutions in the software segment and majorly the fastest one in the product line. We have critically revised the data transfer algorithms which helped us have the speeds of backup looking much like the industry's highest along the way. If you find a faster backup solution for mixed OS networks, I will dance jig and upload that video to Youtube," said Aleks Dolgushev, the Novosoft Chief Business Development Manager.
The newly released version is reported to be the fastest software ( http://www.handybackup.net/news/fast-backup-june-2012.shtml ) in the Handy Backup product line. The list of major features include enhanced speeds for fast data backup, improved FTP backup and Cloud backup, resource saving approach to managing centralized network backup, updated disk imaging functionality, and a bunch of minor improvements adding value to the release.
The backup speed improvements are based on new data transfer algorithms. The improvements particularly include a new approach to differential backup which now helps to transfer only the changes in files and new files, the resource saving way, without temp files and exuberant requests by the app. The enhancements in backup speed are most notable for backing up large files (more than several GBs) and big number of files (several thousands and more).
The backup speed improvements were also applied to the functionality of Cloud backup and and copying data to and from FTP. The new differential backup approach now brings the option of storing large data to a remote server, in a time and traffic saving mode (which solves the problem of keeping GBs and TBs of data in a Cloud or on an FTP server). Among other updates, the FTP backup and Cloud storage became interruption-proof helping to properly continue the backing up after a lost connection.
The Network Server edition of Handy Backup is reported to start supporting extra security options along with flexible authorization and resource and time saving data allocation between network workstations and backup storage.
The new version, Handy Backup 7.2., is already available on handybackup.net the official website.
