ALPHARETTA, GA, October 01, 2010 (Press-News.org) The Heidi's Heavenly Cookies story began in October of 2002, which also happens to be the same month as National Cookie Month and National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
In honor of all three events, they have made arrangements to celebrate their 8 years of gourmet cookie baking by donating 10% of proceeds from their Heavenly Selects gourmet cookie basket orders to the Young Survival Coalition (YSC) for the month of October.
Breast cancer has effected or will effect nearly every person in the nation, whether directly or indirectly. Heidi's Heavenly Cookies is working to combat this disease with gourmet cookies. For every order of a Heavenly Selects gourmet chocolate cookie gift basket as an anniversary gift, get well soon gift, thank you gift, happy birthday gift, corporate gift or otherwise, 10% of those proceeds will be donated to breast cancer awareness and research.
The particular breast cancer charity they've chosen to donate to, the Young Survival Coalition (YSC), was founded in 1998 by three women diagnosed with breast cancer under the age of 35 that lacked the information pertinent to young women diagnosed with this disease. In an attempt to educate other young women, specifically young women under the age of 40, they have created YSC. Today its influence reaches over 200,000 people every year.
Beginning October 1st, customers will be able to order Heavenly Selects and have 10% of the proceeds go to the Young Survival Coalition. Heavenly Selelcts is a pink two tier gourmet chocolate cookie gift basket filled with 8 Toffee Chocolate Chip, 5 Oatmeal Raisin, 5 Chocolate Chip, 5 Chocolate Eclipse, 3 Chocolate Raspberry Eclipse, 1 Macaroon dipped in chocolate, and 8 ounces English Toffee Candy all tied up in a black and white polka dot ribbon.
Southern Living Magazine describes Heidi's Heavenly Cookies with this, "...The namesake of this aromatic company stirs together flavors and inventive presentations in a celestially good way." With the customer's help, Heidi's Heavenly Cookies intends to do some good this October in collaborating efforts to save lives and brighten taste buds, one gourmet cookie gift basket at a time.
