Plastic Surgeon Sees More Patients Requesting Mommy Makeovers

JOHNSTON, RI, July 05, 2012 (Press-News.org) Board-certified Rhode Island plastic surgeon Dr. Lori Polacek says she has noticed a rise during the past year in the number of patients requesting Mommy Makeovers.

Aimed at reversing the changes in a woman's body that often result from pregnancy and breastfeeding, the Mommy Makeover is a combination of surgical procedures performed at the same time. Each makeover can be customized to meet the patient's individual needs, but it usually consists of treatments such as liposuction, breast enhancement and abdominoplasty.

"From what I've seen at my practice, the number of mothers looking to reclaim their original figures through plastic surgery has grown considerably," Dr. Polacek says.
