Mike Moses Presents Offers New Pro-Am Comedy Show at Snickerz Comedy Bar.

Local & Regional Comics Compete for Emcee and Headliners Opportunities.

2010-10-01
FORT WAYNE, IN, October 01, 2010 (Press-News.org) Groundbreaking opportunity presents itself to local and regional comics. With little to laugh or smile about, with the country involved in two wars, high unemployment and an economy struggling to get back on track, most of us could use a sidesplitting stimulus. That's where Mike Moses Presents The Pro-Am Comedy Series comes in. By providing a professional club and stage setting for people who have proven themselves in the comedic arena, The Pro-Am Comedy shows spotlights those ready to tackle emcee work or are ready to headline. Mike Moses Presents Pro/Amateur Comedy Showcase kicks off Wednesday October 27, 2010 at 7:30pm at Snickerz Comedy Bar and is bringing the Midwest's funniest new and up & coming comics to town. Tickets are a recession friendly, low price of $5.

October's scheduled comics are as follows in the emcee division: from South Bend, IN, Jay Boggs & George McGooki and Brent Terhune & Kevin Butterfield from Indianapolis; and from Fort Wayne, Paul David Fernandez. In the feature division experience from Grand Rapids, MI, Stu McCallister; Marques Bunn from Richmond, IN; and Fort Wayne's own, Jason Dixie. So if you want to grab a few friends for a good time and to see the hottest and really hilarious new comedians, join us for some quality entertainment. Check out these up and coming stars now! Scheduled for every fourth Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., the featured comics compete for cash prizes. A panel of three judges and the audience determines the winners each week. The categories include:

Best promotional work $50
Top Emcee $50
Top Feature $100

All performers and audience members must be at least 21 years of age and this event is not affiliated with either Snickerz Comedy Bar or Night Shift, Inc. The top three winners in both the emcee and feature divisions will compete at the end of the season in the season finale.

Many alternate venues have attempted to do comedy shows and many of them have been painful to both perform in and watch as a fan. If you have ever been to a real comedy club and then decided to go to Bubba's Billiards, Jimmy's Sports Bar & Bowling Alley or Dashy's Pizza Parlor to see comedy, you notice the striking difference. For starters, it's hard to get your punch line across performing in a bowling alley when someone strikes. The same holds true when performing in a sports bar and someone is watching a game, they get excited over a score or blown official's call. For the aspiring comic there are rarely professional comics or industry insiders in attendance at such venues to help the comics polish their craft. Poetically speaking, you wouldn't go to your dentist to have your colon examined, so why would you go to Dusty's Wing and Rib shack for comedy?

Make plans to come out October 27th at 7:30 p.m., for the first Mike Moses Presents Pro-Am Comedy Night, at Snickerz Comedy Bar, at 5535 St. Joe Road. For more information or reservations, call Mike Moses at 260-804-7834.

Frizzy Hair - Exposed & Explained from Beauty Stop Online

2010-10-01
I used to think that frizzy hair was uncontrollable and the only way to get results was to tame it down with different hair products. I have often heard the usual theories that frizz is caused by weather and genetics. Genetics meaning that some hair textures have a natural tendency to be frizzy and if the weather is bad, your hair will be bad... just accept it. In reality I found that the real culprit of frizz in the majority of hair types is the lack of moisture in the hair. Wow, this makes so much sense to me. In my own personal experience I have often thought that my ...
