EA Worldwide Acquisitions: Only 36% Of Businesses Are Ready For London 2012 Olympic Games

Less than 20 days to go until the opening ceremony of London 2012 Olympic Games. Josh Cote at EA Worldwide Acquisitions says event is highly anticipated by many businesses, but he is raising the question: are companies prepared for such a challenge?

2012-07-07
LONDON, ENGLAND, July 07, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Olympic Games, the biggest sporting event on the planet, are expected to generate further impressive opportunities for businesses this summer; however such an exciting event will need careful preparation. After conducting a 'Games Ready' survey, statistics from computer networking business Cisco reveal that only 36% of businesses feel entirely set for London 2012 (smallbusinesses.co.uk). Josh Cote, entrepreneur and managing director at EA Worldwide Acquisitions finds this number shocking considering that the Olympics are just on our doorstep. According to the same study, a further 46% have done some planning but still feel that there is more to do.

The upcoming event is an opportunity for Great Britain to show what the country and its people are made of; but great events come with many responsibilities and challenges. Josh Cote at EA Worldwide Acquisitions explains: "Organisations have to be prepared in order to have the lowest impact possible on their daily business." Josh Cote continues: "As a business owner you have to ask yourself some crucial questions." Josh Cote at EA Worldwide Acquisitions explains that delivery times might need to be rescheduled, people might be unable to come to work or might be late and security training has to be provided. "It might sound easy," says Josh Cote, "but it should be given a sufficient amount of thought of how to overcome those challenges."

London 2012 will bring business opportunities, will create further jobs and has already had a huge impact on the transport infrastructure. During the games, Josh Cote suggests, special arrangements like flexible working, for example from home or in shifts to avoid the masses of visitors travelling to the stadiums, might make it easier for workers to achieve their targets during the games. Furthermore, companies think of deploying temporary, additional staff in order to have enough people to help when the world comes to see London 2012. "Businesses which have not yet developed clear strategies or plans of how to go through the Olympic period may be surprised once the games start. In less than 30 days, visitors from all over the world will be here in the UK and companies have to be prepared in order to benefit from it" adds Josh Cote.

EA Worldwide Acquisitions, an outsourced sales and marketing company based in London, are confident they have implemented the right preparation. Entrepreneur Josh Cote at EA Worldwide Acquisitions is excited about the upcoming Olympics. "We will be able to increase our sales by reaching a much larger amount and variety of people," says Josh Cote. Timings are arranged, so people do not have to come to or go home during the Olympic rush hour. Josh Cote at EA Worldwide Acquisitions is looking very positively towards the Olympic Games. "We can't wait to have London 2012 started. Preparation is the key and we are ready , set, go."
