Ohiya Joins Crunchtime Popcorn in Sweetening San Diego Comic-Con

Crunchtime Popcorn to Transform into 'World of Ohiya', Offering Ohiya Themed Confections and Promotions During Comic-Con International: San Diego - July 12-15

CINCINNATI, OH, July 07, 2012 (Press-News.org) Character development studio OHIYA (www.ohiyafriends.com) today announced their partnership with CRUNCHTIME POPCORN (www.crunchtimepopcorn.com) for this year's Comic-Con International: San Diego - July 12-15. CrunchTime will be introducing a number of Ohiya themed promotions and products . Ohiya will be exhibiting at the convention, booth #2229 and will offer a full range of apparel and accessories.

"CrunchTime provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the perfect spot for making friends," mentioned Jason Tharp, creator of Ohiya, "This aligns well with Ohiya's mantra - to just say 'HI.'"

Come convention weekend CrunchTime will be transformed into the "World of Ohiya," a place where guests can make friends while feasting on Ohiya themed goodies. The Ohiya cast will take up residence on walls, ceilings and tabletops promoting friendship and fun. The "World of Ohiya" storefront will include 'Crunchie' the new Ohiya CrunchTime character. Crunchie is comprised of CrunchTime's most popular food items: popcorn, hot dogs and ice cream.

"We're so excited to be partnering with Ohiya for the convention," said Kim Pinkney, owner of CrunchTime, "The characters have such cute and playful personalities. They lend themselves well to a variety of our delicacies."

Exclusive flavors based on Ohiya characters Koki and Panduh will be unveiled courtesy of CrunchTime's flagship brand 'Kim's Homemade Ice Cream'. An Ohiya themed smoothie will also be made available featuring Dough.

All weekend guests can enjoy the Ohiya Daily Deal - two gourmet beef hotdogs and a drink for $4.75.

CrunchTime Popcorn is located two short blocks from the San Diego Convention Center at 611 K Street, directly across from Petco Park's 7th Ave. entrance.
