Curtin & Heefner Attorneys Offer Employment Law CLE at Bucks County Bar Association on August 25

Bass, Growney and Yeager to present CLE on Employment Law for the Bucks County Bar Association

DOYLESTOWN, PA, August 19, 2010 (Press-News.org) Three attorneys from Bucks County law firm, Curtin & Heefner LLP will lead a continuing legal education (CLE) program about employment law on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Bucks County Bar Association in Doylestown, PA.

Curtin & Heefner's employment law attorneys will discuss recent developments in employment legislation and case law as well as an overview of new and recent topics affecting pension plan sponsors. The speakers are attorneys Matthew Bass, Kyong Ha Growney and Jordan Yeager.

The program is open to lawyers, business owners, other employers and individuals. CLE program participants will receive two substantive credits for attending the event. The program will be hosted from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with food and refreshments offered to all attendees. Fees to participate in the CLE event are: $90 for bar members; $135 for non-members; and $45 for individuals who are not attorneys. About the Attorneys

Matthew Bass focuses his practice on employment and labor law with particular emphasis on employee benefits law. Prior to joining the law firm, Bass worked in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation department of a major Philadelphia law firm. Bass is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and served as an appellate court law clerk.

Kyong Ha Growney concentrates her practice on labor, employment and municipal law issues. She represents clients in federal and state court and before federal, state and local administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. Growney also counsels public entities and private sector clients on all aspects of labor and employment law.

Jordan Yeager focuses his practice on employment law, federal civil rights litigation and municipal law. Prior to joining Curtin & Heefner, Yeager was in private practice with his own public interest law firm. He has served as solicitor to Nockamixon Township and as Labor Counsel to numerous municipal governments. He represents community groups and individuals in environmental and land use matters and has been a frequent lecturer on employment law and related topics.
