Oakbrook Podiatrist Uses Social Media to Reach Out to Patients

Dr. Neil Frankel, podiatrist in Dupage County, is using social media and his practice's blog to provide information online to his patients.

OAKBROOK, IL, July 12, 2012 (Press-News.org) Dr. Neil Frankel, Oakbrook podiatrist, is pleased to be jumping into the world of social media with his practice's Facebook and Twitter accounts. His practice is also maintaining a blog that is designed to educate his patients about various podiatric topics.

"I am happy that our practice is utilizing social media to communicate with our patients. I know that many of our patients use these services on a daily basis and I'm glad that our practice is able to maintain a social media presence. I hope all of our patients take the time to follow us on Twitter and "like" us on Facebook," said Dr. Frankel, Lincolnwood, IL podiatrist.

Dr. Frankel and his staff use the Facebook page to post updates on the practice and links to blog posts. In addition, patients that are on Facebook can post questions and comments on the practice's wall to interact with Dr. Frankel and his staff.

The Dupage County podiatrist uses the Twitter account similarly to the Facebook page by posting practice updates and links to blog posts. Patients can follow the account @AFootAnkleCntr.

Dr. Frankel's blog is dedicated to informing his patients about various topics in podiatry including the Swiss technique for correcting bunions in Dupage County. He believes that the more educated a patient is, the better chance they have of maintaining healthy feet.

To schedule an appointment, patients can either call (312) 372-3117 or request an appointment online. To do this, patients simply enter in the date and time that they want to come in for an appointment to the online form. Shortly after this, the practice's scheduling coordinator will follow up through email or text message with a confirmation of the appointment.
