Willig, Williams & Davidson Attorney Margaret J. Amoroso Appointed to Hearing Committee of Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board

Delaware County, Pa., Lawyer Serves on Disciplinary Board of PA Supreme Court

DOYLESTOWN, PA, July 12, 2012 (Press-News.org) Margaret J. Amoroso of the Pennsylvania labor union and employment law firm Willig, Williams & Davidson has been appointed as a Hearing Committee member serving the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Her three-year appointment became effective July 1, 2012. The Disciplinary Board's four hearing committees review cases and files concerning attorney discipline matters within their respective districts. Committee members, who serve on a voluntary, unpaid basis, are nominated by Disciplinary Board members based upon reputation within the legal community.

The managing attorney of Willig, Williams & Davidson's Media, Pa., office, Amoroso has been practicing law for more than 25 years. She counsels and represents clients in real estate, domestic relations, consumer law and criminal defense matters. She has served as an Assistant County Solicitor for Delaware County, Pa., since 1991. In that capacity she handles dependency matters for the County's Children & Youth Services, as well as appeals for the Department of Public Welfare.

Amoroso, a dedicated member of the community, currently sits on the Delaware County Children's Roundtable, the Pennsylvania Children & Youth Solicitors Association Bylaws Committee and the Delaware County Bar Association Fee Dispute Committee. In April 2012, she was elected as a member of the Township Council of Middletown Township in Delaware County - after serving as an interim member and filling a vacancy in the Township's 2nd District. She also previously served as Hearing Chairperson of the Middletown Township Zoning Hearing Board.
