RationalPlan 4.0 A Brand New Design

DOLJ, ROMANIA, July 14, 2012 (Press-News.org) The developers from Stand By Soft are pleased to announce the release of a major version for the project management suite RationalPlan. Version 4.0 comes with a new design, a modern look and a more pleasant color scheme for the eye.

This is a major turn around as the company decided to focus on three different areas or more exactly on three important needs for different types of project managers. These needs are covered by the main three products: Single, Multi and Server.

Although different, in the essence the entire suite has something in common. Every manager needs to effectively handle his projects and there are many tools in the market for this. With this product all the company data like projects, resources, calendars etc. are in one single place. From here anything can be accessed by anyone and from anywhere. All it needs to be done is to create some user accounts and set the appropriate rights.

Version 4.0 also comes with a major change in the file format. Although still compatible with the old .xrp file type the new version is using now two other formats .srp for the Single product and .mrp for the Multi product. So in case of downgrade to a version prior to 4.0 users should make sure that they convert current files to the old .xrp extension to continue using them.

The integration with Microsoft Project was also improved so the data exchange between the two applications is done with less data loss. At the same time RationalPlan is now also available in Portuguese language thanks to the efforts of Rui Nobre Pinheiro. Rui is an Achievement-driven Project Manager with more than 12 years of project & portfolio management experience, and a total of 15 years of relevant business experience, with a focus on entrepreneurship, business development (e.g. franchising), SMEâEUR s, complex projects, accountancy, auditing and finance management.

This major upgrade is free for the clients that purchased their licenses within one year before the official 4.0 release date. Clients older than one year can upgrade to the new version by paying $17.10 for Single and $29.40 for Multi. Regarding the Server module the clients can be happy since the upgrade is free for everyone.
