As she reached for the light switch over the sink, she glanced out across her lawn. The sun had set behind the La Sal Mountains. Her eyes caught a movement on the lawn. She strained her vision and finally realized what she was looking at. One of her wicker chairs sat in the yard. In the chair sat a man. She couldn't make out the face, but it seemed disfigured. A muffled scream escaped her lips as she realized who it was.

Set in Montrose County in southwestern Colorado, Burn Valley Vengeance captures the color and beauty of the area as it takes the reader for a roller coaster ride of romance and suspense as it follows mystery writer Carrie Reynolds and Deputy Sheriff Preston Rayburn as they try to track down the person responsible for the local crime wave, little knowing that he is stalking them!
