Limited Time for AZ Commercial & Residential Property Owners to Repair or Replace Damaged AC & Roofing Due to 2010 Hail Storm.

Arizona commercial and residential property owners have until October 2012 to have hail damaged roofing and AC units repaired or replaced under insurance.

2012-07-18
GLENDALE, AZ, July 18, 2012 (Press-News.org) On October 5th 2010, a hail storm caused severe property damage in the Maricopa County area of Arizona. The hail damage was estimated to total at least 2.7 billion dollars. Commercial and Homeowner insurance policies have been paying for repairs to property damaged by hail, but time is running out to file a claim. The two year claim window expires on October 5, 2012. There is still time to get necessary repairs completed and have it covered by commercial and homeowners' insurance policies.

The damaged property includes roofing, air conditioning units, stucco and parking structures. Many business and homeowners are under the impression that if the AC system is still working, or the roof is not leaking, that everything is fine. That is not always the case as there could be damage directly due to the hail storm that will ultimately lead to problems which have not yet occurred.

Guthrie General, Inc. is a long standing and respected general contractor in the Phoenix area. Guthrie has been in business since 1975 and produces high quality development projects in both the commercial and residential arenas. Guthrie is advising business and homeowners to ensure any outstanding issues due to the hail storm are handled prior to the October 5th deadline, at which point insurance policies will no longer be liable to repair or replace home damage caused by the hail storm.

It is important to have a qualified contractor inspect affected areas of the business or home to ascertain if there is a need to file a hail damage claim. Guthrie General, Inc. urges all business owners and homeowners in affected areas to ensure any damage is reported and resolved with their insurance prior to the October 2012 deadline.

To learn more about or schedule an inspection at no cost, please contact Guthrie General, Inc. at 623-487-0234 or visit http://guthriegeneral.com/arizona-hail-damage-deadline/.
