Oceanroc Web Publishing Launches Exciting Website about Mandeville, Jamaica

A website has been launched about the salubrious mountain town of Mandeville, Jamaica highlighting its rich history, tourism attractions and development.

2012-07-21
MANDEVILLE, JAMAICA, July 21, 2012 (Press-News.org) Mandeville is a picture Jamaica would love to share with the world. The town is located in the heart of Jamaica and is the home of community tourism which is an alternative to the "sun and sand" tourism experience. Mandeville which sits on a plateau at 2061 feet is known as the "coolest town in Jamaica" and the town is the only parish capital not located near a river or on a coastal plain.

A website has been launched about the salubrious town highlighting its rich history and contribution to Jamaica's development. Mandeville has the distinction of being the last established parish capital and this year will be celebrating 196 years of existence. The website can be found at http://WWW.Updeh.com

The website was online between 2000-2006 operating under a different name but was eventually closed down. "I have always wanted to start back up the website but finally started to rebuild it a few months ago. Mandeville is a beautiful place and I have always wanted to share it with the world via my website", says Nicholas Dixon, the webmaster and CEO of Oceanroc Web Publishing.

"When you visit the website you will get the opportunity to learn more about the community, see pictures and we also have a Facebook page where you can engage in discussions about the community", he further adds.

Mandeville, Jamaica is the home of the only university located outside the capital Kingston and recently efforts have made to have Mandeville designated as a university town. Mandeville is sometimes referred to as "Jamaica's Silicon Valley".
