BURBANK, CA, July 21, 2012 (Press-News.org) Cayo Largo Productions, LLC, the film production company who brought you "Beast Beneath", "Poker Run" and "The Colombian Connection", is proud to announce that it has commenced development and pre-production of "Still Rockin' Around the Clock" (working title), a feature film adaptation of the autobiography of the same name penned by Marshall Lytle with Michael Jordan Rush. "Still Rockin' Around the Clock" will focus on the dramatic true birth of Rock and Roll as seen through the eyes of one of the key men who was there, Marshall Lytle, the original bass player for Bill Haley & The Comets, whose hits - "Rock Around the Clock", "Crazy Man Crazy", "Shake Rattle and Roll" and "See You Later Alligator" inspired billions around the world to get on their feet and move. This creation of the most popular music genre ever, spanning generations and totally American in its conception, took place before Elvis, Buddy Holly, the Beatles and all others since. It was and is the inspiration for the many rock stars and song writers that still to this day refer to these original roots to perpetuate the ongoing sound of Rock and Roll, now in its many variations.
The script for "Still Rockin' Around the Clock" has been penned by Larry Madill (the writer behind such hits as "The Colombian Connection" and "The Girl from the Naked Eye") and Bertie Higgins, who has had his own taste of rock and roll stardom with eleven album releases and his hits "Key Largo", "Casablanca", "Just Another Day in Paradise" and more. Bertie Higgins, president of Cayo Largo Productions, LLC, will also be the producer of note for the project. "Still Rockin' Around the Clock" is slated to go into production in early 2013 and to be released later that year. "Still Rockin' Around the Clock" is one of several films that Cayo Largo Productions, LLC, has in the planning stages to begin production soon.
