Sunflower Systems Dzara and Thompson Elected to NPMA Executive Board National Offices

SAN RAMON, CA, July 26, 2012 (Press-News.org) NPMA is the leading membership association for personal property and fixed-asset professionals. Jessica Dzara is the new Vice President of Membership and Brian Thompson has been re-elected as Vice President for Marketing and Communications.

Jessica Dzara is looking forward to focusing on developing programs to better promote the value that NPMA membership provides to organizations and ensuring that new and existing members are engaged and get the most out of the resources that are available to them, with the goal of increasing member retention and recruitment efforts.

Brian Thompson is excited to have the opportunity to upgrade the NPMA National, Region and Chapter websites, support the expansion of current and future SIG's, improve NPMA marketing messages and branding to illustrate the value of membership; facilitate organizational funding for NPMA membership and/or funding to attend educational conferences; increase management visibility of NPMA through outlining how asset professionals impact cost/expense savings, reduce risk and facilitate compliance while contributing to the overall goals of the organization.

About Jessica Dzara
Jessica Dzara, CPPA, serves as a Manager at Sunflower Systems. Jessica has over five years of property management experience primarily with Federal Agencies as a business analyst and specializes in data analysis as well as the development of business processes, documentation, and training programs. Jessica's contributions to NPMA include serving as National Director of Chapter Support, Eastern Region Director of Seminars and Programs, UCNP SIG secretary, EDPM SIG member, and as a past NOVA Chapter and National Capital Area Conference chairperson. She also served on the Future NPMA core planning, Learning, and Seminar committees and received the 2009 NOVA Chapter Outstanding Member award. Jessica earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communications from Clemson University.

About Brian Thompson
Brian Thompson, CPPM CF, is the Vice President of Solutions, Strategic Markets for Sunflower Systems where his responsibilities include the sales and marketing of Sunflower Systems solutions to key strategic accounts, exploring new markets and enhancing sales operations. Mr. Thompson is a respected executive with a distinguished 20-year career leading software sales and professional services operations for turnaround and S&P 500 organizations. Mr. Thompson continues to make significant contributions to support the mission of NPMA as he created the highly successful NPMA Newsflash Newsletter, NPMA Best Practices Awards and is a founding leader on the Seminar Committee whose efforts improved the educational program content and attendance at NPMA Seminars and Conference events earning him the NPMA Presidents Award in 2011. Thompson also is a frequent contributing author to The Property Professional publication where in 2010 he earned Article of the Year for, "Writing an Asset Management System Business Case" and has previously served as NPMA Western Region Vice President. Thompson earned a Master's in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Pepperdine University and is a former faculty member of the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
