Current of Tampa Bay, Inc. Returns to Brooksville for Second Time this Year to Benefit Residents

Tampa-Based Nonprofit Set to Host Free Laundry Project in Brooksville at Howell Ave. Coin Laundry.

LUTZ, FL, July 26, 2012

Current of Tampa Bay, Inc. volunteers will spend Saturday, July 28, volunteering to help wash the clothes of deserving families in Brooksville. The Laundry Love Project will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. atHowell Ave. Coin Laundry located at 957 Howell Ave. Brooksville, FL 34601. The Laundry Love Project assists low-income families with meeting a basic need - washing and drying clothes.

"Besides food and shelter, clothing is considered to be one of the most significant necessities in life. Even though society members can afford clothing, having the funds for laundry services is a real-life dilemma for many of them. Some think that clean laundry accessibility is a third-world issue, but that is not the case. Many families in our country wear the same clothing everyday because they cannot afford laundry services," said Current's Founder/President Jason Sowell.

"At Current, we recognize this need and our mission is to provide hope to those that need it. We do this by providing clean clothing and linens for free. We are grateful to provide this service to our community," commented Sowell.

These projects could not happen without the help of generous community supporters. WellCare Health Plans, Inc. of Hernando County is set to donate supplies for the project.

The Laundry Love Project seeks donations of quarters (rolls of $10), coloring books, crayons, laundry baskets and laundry detergent. Donations can be made at the event on the morning of July 28 or by contacting Jason Sowell at 727.537.9082. More information about this event can be found online at http://www.LaundryByCurrent.org.
