NEW YORK, NY, July 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) TreSensa announced today the launch of its new platform for mobile and social developers to create single and multiplayer games that are compatible with all devices. With the support of a $1.0m angel round of funding, the new company will provide cross-platform and multiplayer technology and services that let producers focus on their game's fun and creativity, lower the time and expense of game development, and expose new, innovative channels for game discovery and monetization.

TreSensa was co-founded by former Tremor Video executives Rob Grossberg and Vincent Obermeier, along with former Codewalla CEO Rakesh Raju. The company, based in New York and with an R&D team in Pune, India, will provide support for the entire life cycle of game development, and will help optimize profit potential for independent developers and game studios of all sizes.

"Within the emerging mobile and social gaming markets, we recognize the need for social games to go mobile and for mobile games to become more social," said Rob Grossberg, CEO of TreSensa. "To bridge the gap between the social and mobile markets, we provide a framework, technologies and services tailored to meet the demands of game studios."

An initial game built on the TreSensa technology called "Strandead," based on the hit animated property Happy Tree Friends and developed by Mondo Studios, launched this week and can be played at http://www.mondoshows.com/games/strandead/. Rakesh Raju, TreSensa's CTO, will be leading a session on July 26th at this summer's Casual Connect conference in Seattle entitled "Rapid Game Development for the Mobile Web: The story of Happy Tree Friends - Strandead."
