Local home builder, Elkow Homes, will be building four new homes in Commerce Township subdivision, Autumn Forest at Cranberry Lake.

NEW HUDSON, MI, July 30, 2012 (Press-News.org) Elkow Homes, a Wixom based home building company, has been busy growing. They will be building new homes in Autumn Forest at Cranberry Lake. This is good new. Why is this good news for everyone in Oakland County? The reason is when a building company grows, that means more people are spending money through buying new construction homes and that means economy goes in the right direction.

According to the National Association of Home Builders with each new home that is built today three jobs are created. That is a positive effect on Michigan's economy as well as the national economy.

Elkow started building new residential homes in 1996 and has worked through the ups and downs of the Michigan building business ever since. "Having grown up in Oakland County, we are proud to rebuild Michigan's economy one home at a time", Rick Elkow, President and Owner of Elkow Homes.

The company now offers homes in Autumn Forest at Cranberry Lake and The Hills of Loon Lake, both in Commerce Township, and a third community, Twin Pines, located in Lyon Township.
