PHOENIX, AZ, August 01, 2012 (Press-News.org) Brillare Hairdressing Academy is offering special back to school discounts on select services and products when clients bring in a children's book for "Operation School Bell ", a program of the Assistance League of Phoenix.
The Academies will be accepting donations of new and gently used children's books in their retail areas throughout the month of August. In exchange for clients' generosity, children haircuts (ages 5-18) will be half off. Regularly $12, kid's haircuts are even more fun now at Brillare Academy with brightly colored smocks, new booster seats, a TV and a surprise at the end of the service.
"We know that back to school is an expensive time for families, that's why we want to help by offering discounted children's haircuts," said Christa Jones, CEO of Brillare Hairdressing Academy. "Through this back to school drive, we are encouraging our clients and the community to bring in books for underprivileged children in the Valley. To further support the Assistance League, Brillare will match every book donated at our academies with a new children's book for Operation School Bell ."
Brillare Academy is also offering half head highlights for $20, regularly $35-$55, and big savings to stock up for back to school on liters of shampoos and conditioners from Wella and Sebastian, as well as Paul Mitchell's tear-free shampoo for children.
"Operation School Bell focuses on donating uniforms, books and hygiene products to children in nearly 60 Title I elementary schools in Phoenix starting in August each year," said Aimee Runyon, Executive Director of Assistance League of Phoenix. "We have more than 250 volunteer members, many of whom help dress children with new school uniforms and help them select a book to keep. School leaders tell us that the new clothes, as well as the books, are treasured by these extremely needy students and really help to build their self esteem."
Offers good through August 31, 2012, at both Brillare Hairdressing Academies: in Scottsdale, 480.994.4222; and in Phoenix, 480.940.5300.
