SAN FRANCISCO, CA, August 01, 2012 (Press-News.org) Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP (www.bellnunnally.com) attorney Nicole M. Eason has been selected by the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL) to participate in its 2012 Leadership Program.
DAYL Leadership Program members are selected from a pool of young attorney applicants throughout the Dallas area who have expressed an interest in making a difference in the community and a desire to become more active with the bar. Each year, approximately 40 attorneys are accepted.
Members of the Leadership Program participate in a series of informational meetings where they learn about the city of Dallas and its politics, are informed of service opportunities with local non-profit organizations and are advised of ways to deepen their involvement with the DAYL. Each class also takes part in a community service project benefitting the Dallas area.
"Nicole's acceptance into the Leadership Program carries on a fine tradition of Bell Nunnally attorneys actively participating in the DAYL to not only grow professionally, but also to give back to the community," said James Skochdopole, managing partner of the firm.
Eason is the fourth Bell Nunnally attorney accepted to the program in recent years, joining colleagues R. Heath Cheek, Stephanie K. Gause and Ross A. Williams.
Eason is a member of the firm's Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring and Litigation practice areas. Her practice focuses on bankruptcy and business related litigation, including representation of banks, debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, DIP lenders and equity holders in bankruptcy cases in a broad range of contested matters and adversary proceedings.
Eason also has experience in all areas of general commercial litigation, including representing Fortune 500 companies, businesses and individuals in a variety of commercial matters and business disputes.
Eason is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D., 2009) and Cornell University (B.S., 2006).
