Growing Barrie Manufacturer Expands Into New Facility

Integrated Moulding International has expanded into a new facility in Barrie, Ontario. The local injection moulding company is committed to creating jobs in the local economy and has launched a new website to assist in its growth.

2012-08-02
BARRIE, ON, August 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) In an era where manufacturing has tending to shift to overseas production, one local manufacturer has decided to expand and put down permanent roots in this Central Ontario community.

Integrated Moulding International (IMI), a local injection moulding company which has manufactured everything from compost bins to Christmas tree stands, has recently expanded its operation into a new 65,000 square foot facility. The building is located in the south end of the city and will continue to create local jobs for this growing community.

"It is very important for us to remain local", states Chris Bodyk, General Manager of IMI. "By choosing to manufacture here in North America, we are choosing to create local jobs and prevent manufacturing from moving offshore".

In addition to being committed to the local community, the company is committed to green practices, as well. The new facility comes complete with energy-efficient lighting, fireplaces, ergonomic workspaces and relaxing common areas, all set into an open office concept. Also, a state-of-the-art water treatment system has been implemented to ensure a minimal carbon footprint is further achieved.

According to Mayor Jeff Lehman's website, Barrie City Council's top priority remains job creation and economic development. IMI's commitment to the local community reflects the spirit of this initiative.

In an effort to promote its manufacturing capabilities, IMI has launched a new company website detailing every aspect of the injection moulding business.
