In his position, Higgs will lead the firm in maintaining and advancing technological solutions that support work for clients worldwide. He will administer all desktop support on the office's networks and review, troubleshoot, research and test new equipment to ensure that Coats + Bennett is operating at its most productive level for all of its IT requirements, so that all clients are experiencing the best and most efficient intellectual property and patent support.

With 13 years of industry experience, Higgs has an extensive background in IT support, including as technology coordinator for the Public Library of Johnston County and Smithfield, N.C., where he successfully upgraded their terminal services and inter-library connectivity as well as internal network and public access computers. He served as a level III network technician for NCISP Inc. in Clayton, N.C. as well, where he handled technical support, facilitated CPE installations and performed workstation and server repair for the communications provider.
