CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH, August 03, 2012 (Press-News.org) Transportation options have just become easier to access for people with disabilities. Introducing the launch of TheMobilityResource.com, a robust adaptive driving marketplace that bridges the gap between major car manufacturers, adaptive driving dealers and consumers.
The site makes the selection from more than 80 nationwide handicapped van dealers available to people across the U.S. The company's priority with the new site aims to provide people with limited mobility with the most comprehensive online resource for finding handicap-accessible vehicles, explains Chris Miller, director of interactive marketing.
The new site features user-friendly interfaces, which makes browsing easier. Its informative content aims to educate people with physical disabilities about the many options available, so they can make an informed [buying] decision.
"We're committed to expanding what people in wheelchairs and scooters can do, by promoting their independence and generally improving quality of life," says Miller.
The new site also features a blog dedicated to countrywide destination-specific travel information for people with accessibility needs. It covers a broad array of topics relating to ownership of such a vehicle.
The Mobility Resource relies on numerous partnerships to make the new site and its network of handicapped van dealers a success, including: Adaptive Driving Alliance, BraunAbility, National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA), GM Mobility and mobility device manufacturer, Bruno.
The company's partnership with BraunAbility ensures its dealer network provides only state-of-the-art converted vans. BraunAbility has been making wheelchair ramps, lifts and other equipment for people with disabilities for 40 years. It outfits vans, minivans, RVs and other vehicles with the most reliable, advanced equipment for handicapped accessibility.
TheMobilityResource.com also provides prospective handicapped vehicle buyers with information about financial aid and incentives, as well as grants and special reimbursement programs. "We do everything we can to help people with disabilities and their loved ones achieve maximum mobility, as affordable as possible," Miller said.
"We invite people who use a scooter or a wheelchair part- or full-time to visit the new site," says Miller. "A lot of people will be surprised by the innovative options available to get them back on the road again," he said.
