Recently, at AVM Technology, we were delighted to host officers from the Information and Communication Security Division and the Cyber Forensics Laboratory of the Taiwan Investigation Bureau, Ministry of Justice (Taiwan's equivalent of the FBI). Special Agent Tseng and Senior Specialist Liu visited us in our Richmond, VA office. They were in Richmond attending a computer forensics conference. As part of their visit, the Taiwanese officers were interested in visiting a leading computer forensics firm in the Richmond, VA area. AVM Technology Vice President and lead forensics examiner, Domingo Rivera, was honored to be selected for this meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss best computer forensics procedures and practices and to share ideas for analyzing digital evidence.

During the meeting, we discussed important practices in the field of computer forensics, including the preservation of evidence throughout the investigation process and the effective presentation of the evidence at trial. The discussion also covered the discovery of hidden evidence, the most effective software tools for different scenarios, and the importance of drawing conclusions in a scientifically reliable manner.
