Local FASTSIGNS Helps Bring Wonka Ice Cream Truck to Life

CARROLLTON, TX, August 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) Clint Ehlers, owner of FASTSIGNS of Culver City, and his team recently teamed up with Event Connections and Alcone Marketing to ensure that Wonka brand's new ice cream truck was something Wonka himself would approve of.

"We really loved wrapping this ice cream truck because the project was so unique and so visually interesting," explained Ehlers.

The wrap, which was designed by Alcone Marketing, was applied in panels that measured about 50 inches wide. In total, it took five panels to completely cover each side. In addition to simply adhering the design to the truck, Ehlers and his team also had to ensure that the pipe design that crisscrosses across the wrap lined up exactly the way Alcone Marketing had intended.

"One of my favorite things about this project was the ornament that sits on top of the truck," said Ehlers. "While we weren't the ones who created it, I do think it adds a dimensional quality to the rest of the wrap that makes it all feel real. Being a fan of the movie, I would say this truck really feels like something that drove straight out of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory."

The Wonka Ice Cream truck is currently traveling through Northern California and Reno, Nev., providing samples from the company's newly introduced ice cream line. Some of the flavors being offered include Chocolate Chipper Chip, Caramel Nut Kadoozle and Kerfuffle Truffle.
