2012-08-10
SANTA BARBARA, CA, August 10, 2012 (Press-News.org) Annual List Ranks North America's Top 500 Technology Integrators

Novacoast Inc., an IT professional services and product development company, today announced it has been recognized by UBM Channel as a part of CRN's 2012 Solution Provider 500 list, which ranks the top technology integrators in North America. Formerly known as the "VAR 500," the Solution Provider 500 ranks the highest producing solution provider organizations in the IT channel from hardware sales, software sales, and managed IT services. Novacoast placed #339th in the annual ranking, up nearly 100 spots from #420 last year.

The Solution Provider 500 ranking is based on revenue size, and considers each company's forward-thinking approach to the channel. In particular, the Solution Provider 500 selection panel sought to recognize companies that are building out practices around the data center and virtualization while offering software integration and application development skills. Revenue size is determined by the amount of annual products and services sold over the course of 2011. Companies with no public documentation were required to submit a notarized affidavit attesting to their 2010 and 2011 revenues.

"It is an honor to listed among CRN's Solution Provider 500 list," said Novacost CEO Paul Anderson. "Novacoast had another fantastic year of growth and expansion and we're excited that it hasn't gone unnoticed in the industry. We're looking forward to another great year."

Since its inception in 1996, Novacoast has grown from a regional player in Southern California to an international company with 150 employees in 26 states. Novacoast's revenue has been on a rapid rise since 2005 when revenue climbed from $10 million a year in annual sales to over $40 million in 2011.

"The organizations listed in this year's Solution Provider 500 list are today's true integration innovators who generate high revenues by putting their customers' needs first," said Kelley Damore, Vice President and Editorial Director at UBM Channel. "Their primary role is to engineer ways to leverage technology solutions that help customers exceed their sales goals, drive client satisfaction, expand internationally or accelerate new product development. In essence, they are today's IT integration leaders for middle market and enterprise customers. We congratulate Novacoast for making this year's list and look forward to covering their continued success."

A sample of the SP500 list is available in print and online at CRN.com.

Nevada Foreclosure Process Slowed by Recent Legal Changes

2012-08-10
A Nevada law that went into effect in October 2011 with the intent of helping to stabilize the housing market has had the opposite effect, some critics say. The new law makes it a felony for lenders to foreclose on properties without first proving that they own the mortgage. Passed in the wake of last year's robo-signing foreclosure scandal, in which several major mortgage lenders were accused of foreclosing on homes without verifying the necessary paperwork, Nevada lawmakers hoped the new measure would revitalize the housing market by reassuring buyers that they would ...

Foreclosure Spike Expected in Indiana, Despite Improvements

2012-08-10
Despite recent signs of stabilization in the real estate market, many experts predict that a new wave of home foreclosures is in store for Indiana and other states where lenders have been slow to work through the foreclosure backlog created during the 2011 robo-signing investigations. Foreclosures dropped off significantly across the country in 2011 due to widespread allegations of improprieties in the foreclosure process. After lenders settled with government officials for $25 billion in early 2012, foreclosure rates spiked again as lenders worked hard to make up for ...
