MrsP.com Launches Free Children's Reader Challenge Game: Game uses funny quizzes to help kids become better readers

www.MrsP.com releases a new free Reader Challenge game today just in time for the back to school season

2010-08-19
PORTLAND, OR, August 19, 2010 (Press-News.org) http://www.MrsP.com releases a new free Reader Challenge game today just in time for the back to school season. It features some of Mrs. P's favorite classic stories from her FREE Magic Library as well as the winning entries from last year's "Be a Famous Writer" contest. The game helps children with their comprehension and reading-retention skills by asking them questions about what they've just read. Mrs. P makes guest appearances in the game, helping kids find the right answers with funny audio and visual messages.

"Studies have shown that kids who practice their reading skills at home do much better in all of their classes at school," said actress Kathy Kinney, who portrays Mrs. P and is a co-founder of MrsP.com. "Those same skills help kids do better in all aspects of their lives, long after they've left school. If my new game can help even one kid develop the tools to be more successful in life, I will be thrilled!"

The game will also be useful helping kids maintain their reading skills over the summer, Kinney said, avoiding the setbacks that so often occur during months away from school.

Beginning readers who aren't ready to play the Reading Challenge game alone can take advantage of the read-along options at Mrs. P's website, and have Mrs. P read the stories to them before they take the quiz.
MrsP.com provides a free, safe (no ads) and fun online destination for children, parents, and teachers. Other word games, an annual writing contests, coloring sheets, and activity guides to accompany long format books can also be found on the site.
