WCI Communities Announces 80% of New Homes Released Now Sold in Parkland's Heron Bay

Final Phase will be released soon

2012-08-12
BONITA SPRINGS, FL, August 12, 2012 (Press-News.org) WCI Communities announced today that it has sold more than 80 percent of the new homes released in Parkland's Heron Bay. WCI began sales of its 196 new homes in May 2011 and 123 of the 155 homes sites released have now been sold with the final phase being released soon.

WCI also has unveiled two exquisitely furnished model homes in Heron Bay that capture the vibrant and sophisticated South Florida resort lifestyle of this Parkland community.

"Our buyers are drawn to Heron Bay's superior home design, resort-like amenities as well as its location in one of the nation's top school districts," said Douglas L. Schwartz, Senior Vice President of WCI Communities. "Further, with record-low interest rates and one of the most affordable housing markets in our nation's history, buyers are jumping into this historic opportunity."

Heron Bay is a master-planned gated community of 3,000 homes on 1,184 acres. Residents of the community enjoy a tropical resort vacation without leaving home. For a low HOA fee, residents have access to amenities that rival many four-star resorts.

Heron Bay offers two spectacular clubhouses: The Commons with 6,000 square feet and the 23,000-square-foot Plaza del Lago, complete with poolside bar and grill service on weekends. Heron Bay offers two resort-style pools, two fitness facilities, a kids' spray park, indoor and outdoor racquetball courts, an arts and crafts room, as well as a tennis center with 10 Har Tru courts and two hard courts. The community also features biking and walking trails interlaced throughout the community and Heron Bay Golf Club, owned and operated by ClubLink, where the PGA Tour's Honda Classic was played for six years.

Heron Bay's location in Parkland, Florida, is ideal for education. According to Forbes Magazine's 2011 annual review of where housing dollars go the furthest in getting children a great education, the City of Parkland landed eighth overall and first in the category of towns with homes costing between $400,000 to $599,999.

The welcome center, located on Heron Bay Drive just off Coral Ridge Drive, is open seven days a week. The welcome center can be contacted at 954-340-2679.
