August 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) For the People by Kromwell.

This is not just a song, it's a movement.

FOR THE 99%: A look at Kromwell's New Song Ready to Inspire a Movement!

KROMWELL's latest single, "For the People" (featuring Little T, DK, and Jen Hershman), is not one of his party tracks, but rather a poetic message for the masses and the "Occupy" International movement. That is not to say the "chill vibe" isn't there, because it is very present. The hip hop side has a smooth flow coupled with a stick-in-your-head hook. "For The People" mixes hip hop, a melodic hook, and a poetic delivery of lyrics to make a point.

"For the People" begins with a take-no-prisoners journey taking on Wall Street, the government, and essentially the rich, or the 1%. The lyrics call out specifically crooked politicians and refer to "the people" as slaves to democracy. The song stops short of referring to the antagonists as savaged bastards, but is clear in its attack against those responsible for the financial crisis, ponzi schemes, and the current tax system that (according to this song) penalizes "the people" while the government and CEOs continue to reap in the cash and rewards. Music, specifically pop songs often allude or dance around subject matter, keeping a song that may be dark in meaning, light for the listener, others are straight forward. KROMWELL's work here is more the latter, a statement for those that feel lost and are having difficulty seeing a light at the end of financial crisis tunnel. The song is a rally, a protest, and a story all wrapped up into one.

"For the People" is an anthem looking to lead the 99% and the cause of an increasing movement that started in New York City and has spread across the world. The chorus "let's all run away" may represent the sinking feeling most of us feel given the current climate of the world today (it did for me on my first listen).

Artists can find inspiration from various outlets, but it takes a special person to take a hot (READ: political) topic and find a way to express their thoughts and feeling. This song does this and also bounces from frustration to optimism seamlessly. The lyrics "Teaching" and "rise up together" jumps out in the second half, offering a solution of education and power in numbers as a potential solution. Agree or not with the message of "For the People", one listen to this song and the chorus will be running through your head, check out "For the People" by KROMWELL today!

KROMWELL Lethal Industry 'DEBUT ALBUM'

Kromwell's debut album Lethal Industry is a pop/hip-hop hybrid infused with everything from pop, hip-hop, house, dub-step, rock, trance and electronica, all blending seamlessly. It boasts a unique compilation of piano work, guitar riffs, tenor and alto sax as well as many other instruments woven throughout his EP. When compiled the variation in the tracks grabs the listener and takes them on a wild musical ride.

Lethal Industry reflects on Kromwell's teenage and early adult years. The album starts off with an upbeat Brit pop inspired track entitled "When you're gone", which follows a musician who is never home long enough to please his girlfriend. The second track, switches gears with an edgy rock meets hip-hop track entitled "No Hardware" in which Kromwell reflects on the darker and more challenging days of his childhood. "Hot Body" and "Palm Bay VIP" represent the lighter side of Kromwell, with hooks guaranteed to grab the attention of any listener. Later tracks continue to surprise and please, ranging from the fast paced songs "Goin' Downtown" and "Superstar", which follow carefree individuals who's goals in life include "hitting every club in town" and "driving' around in a fancy car", to the darker, more sinister "Livin' on Top" and "Glory Us". The album ends on a hit note with an emotive piano solo.

Court Ruling on DOMA Could Affect Same-Sex Marriages in New York

2012-08-13
A recent court ruling regarding the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) could impact the rights of same-sex married couples in New York and other states. A federal circuit court ruled on May 31, 2012, that DOMA, as the law is known, is unconstitutional. The issue is expected to be appealed to the United States Supreme Court, setting the stage for the nation's highest court to determine the constitutionality of the federal law. DOMA defines marriage as a "legal union between one man and one woman." States remain free to allow same-sex marriage, but the ...

Another Monument Rises to Men Killed in the Coal Mines, But Have We "Seen It All Before?"

2012-08-13
On July 27, 2012, a monument in Raleigh County, West Virginia, was dedicated to the twenty-nine coal miners who lost their lives in the Massey Energy catastrophe at Upper Big Branch. Everyone who attends the dedication can expect to hear florid speeches from corporate and political leaders. More than any other single statement, the people in attendance will hear: "this won't happen ever again." But the question for West Virginians, and for coal miners nationwide and worldwide, is not whether leadership is prepared to make promises standing in front of monuments ...

Florida Retains Title as Nation's Mortgage Fraud Capital

2012-08-13
The dismal housing market in Florida is showing signs of new life, but the improvements have had little impact on the state's mortgage fraud rates according to a recent report. Florida remains the top state for mortgage fraud. Law enforcement officials and fraud investigators are sure to take note. The LexisNexis 14th Annual Mortgage Fraud Report placed Florida at or near the top in two mortgage fraud indexes. The annual report, formerly known as the MARI Fraud report, examines reports of residential mortgage fraud and misrepresentation among industry professionals in ...

How Pharmaceuticals Make Their Way to Market: The FDA Approval Process and Patient Safety Concerns

How Pharmaceuticals Make Their Way to Market: The FDA Approval Process and Patient Safety Concerns
2012-08-13
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires that all new pharmaceuticals travel a long path with several steps before being approved for use to treat illness and disease. The FDA requires new drugs to undergo this process for many reasons, primarily to discover if the drug does what it is meant to do and to learn of potentially harmful side effects. Most importantly, the underlying purpose of the FDA approval process is patient safety. Typically, before a new drug is approved by the FDA, the drug manufacturer must complete several phases of testing. Often, before ...

Choosing A Doctor After A Workplace Injury

2012-08-13
The Pennsylvania workers' compensation system is set up to provide payment of medical expenses and lost wages related to an on-the-job injury. A worker does not need to sue his or her employer to prove that the employer is at fault or responsible for the injuries; a worker must simply report the injury to his or her employer to start off the workers' compensation process. One question that often arises however, related to on-the-job injuries, is whether a worker is free to choose his or her own doctor for treatment. It is not hard to understand why an injured person ...

Is CARFAX like Kleenex? Consumers and Dealers Adopt VinAudit.com for Lower-cost Vehicle History
2012-08-13
For decades, one company has dominated the vehicle history market: CARFAX. With few alternatives available for vehicle history reports, CARFAX gets away with charging as much as $34.99 for a single vehicle history report. "I just needed to prove that a car I was selling had a clean history, so I scoured the web for a 'free vehicle history report'", explains David Wu, "Unfortunately, there was no such thing as free vehicle history, and I felt ripped off when I resorted to paying $30 for a basic report." After this experience, Wu went on to found VinAudit.com-- ...
