LAWTON, OK, August 15, 2012 (Press-News.org) Cosmetology students at at ITS Academy of Beauty, 200 Southwest C Ave. in Lawton are helping students ages 4-18 return to school in style with a variety of back to school specials.
The specials include: buy one get one free haircuts; $2 off any regularly priced haircut; $4 off acrylic nail services and 15% off all Peter Hantz retail products.
"By offering deep discounts to our already reasonably-priced services, we can help ensure more students can go back to school in style," said Jessica Wolman, one of the owners of the award-winning cosmetology schools.
The cosmetology school is offering the Back to School specials now through Sept. 30, 2012. The cosmetology students perform the services under the supervision of a licensed instructor. No appointment is necessary.
"The excitement of going back to school can be extended to adults interested in a career change," added Margie Wisniski, vice president of operations. "Students who complete our cosmetology program and pass the state bar can launch into a rewarding occupation in beauty that can be used throughout the country, offers a flexible schedule, as well as provide a valuable and needed service to others."
According to a U.S. News and World Report hairdresser is cited as one of the best jobs of 2012. In a March 21, 2012 article in USA Today, beauty salon sales grew 5.4 %.4 in the last two years vs. a 2.3% sales increase in 2009. With the Bureau of Labor Statistics projections of 15.7% employment growth expected by 2020, the future of hair salons and the future of hair stylists should continue to grow.
