CHARLOTTE, NC, August 16, 2012 (Press-News.org) Paragon Commercial Bank (http://www.paragoncommercial.com), North Carolina's first business-only bank, has announced that it will sponsor the 2012 Tees & Tunes Golf and Cabaret Classic, a day of golf followed by an evening of music in support of the Special Olympics of Mecklenburg County. Last year, the event raised $75,000 for Special Olympics, making the event the largest private fundraiser for Special Olympics of Mecklenburg County.
The Tees & Tunes Golf and Cabaret Classic is scheduled for Friday, October 12 and includes a round of golf on the newly designed Rees Jones South Course at Carmel Country Club at 4735 Carmel Road, followed by the New York Cabaret show and dinner with Charlotte's own Martha Bartz and her partner, Dr. Mory Ortman.
QUOTES:
"We are honored to be a part of such a wonderful event," said Phil Jurney, Paragon Commercial Bank Charlotte market president. "The Tees & Tunes Golf and Cabaret supports a terrific cause in our own community, and Paragon is proud to help make the fundraiser a success."
DETAILS:
- The Tees & Tunes Golf and Cabaret Classic was introduced to Charlotte in 2010. Because of the exclusive nature of this event, only 48 golf reservations will be offered, ensuring a relaxing and fast-moving day on the course. For those unable to participate in the golf tournament, a limited number of tickets will be sold for the concert and dinner at Carmel Country Club that evening.
- The New York Cabaret show and dinner features Bartz and Ortman, who have performed together for the past five years. Their partnership has taken them to the Carnegie Hall stage, New York's Metropolitan Room, clubs in the New York City and New Jersey area, Charlotte's Carmel Country Club, and The Halton Theater.
