Company passes PCI SSC Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) test

OREM, UT, August 16, 2012

SecurityMetrics, a leading provider of merchant data security and compliance solutions, has successfully recertified with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council (SSC) for the seventh consecutive year as an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) after passing scan administration, performance, and reporting testing. The company continues to remain in an elite class of vendors first ASV certified by the PCI SSC in 2006. SecurityMetrics uses their ASV accreditation to offer premium internal and external vulnerability scans to merchants across 87 countries.

"Because a business' financial success is coupled with its security posture, we take our PCI SSC endorsement seriously," said CEO of SecurityMetrics, Brad Caldwell. "Vulnerability scanning is an integral part of a business' PCI compliance process, and businesses across the world depend on us to help them reach their goals."

SecurityMetrics has offered security-scanning services to businesses since 2000, and has annually qualified as an ASV since 2006. In addition to its ASV certification, the company also holds QSA (Qualified Security Assessor), PA-QSA (Payment Application Qualified Security Assessor), and PFI (PCI Forensic Investigator) security qualifications.
