RALEIGH, NC, August 17, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Carolina Designer Craftsmen Guild (http://www.carolinadesignercraftsmen.com) has announced that the 43rd Annual Fine Designer Crafts Show will feature a raffle to benefit the Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+) (http://www.craftemergency.org), an organization that helps craftspeople who are struck by natural disasters. The event, which showcases fine designer crafts for all tastes and budgets, will be held at the N.C. State Fairgrounds Friday, November 23 through Sunday, November 25. The Fine Designer Crafts Show, a North Carolina tradition since 1970, features the work of over 100 juried fine craft artists, including handmade pottery, jewelry, glass, metal, wood, wearable art and more.
The raffle will help safeguard and sustain the careers of craft artists and provide emergency resources that benefit artists of all talents. For more than 25 years, CERF+ has helped hundreds of professional craft artists with over $1 million in financial assistance, as well as approximately $250,000 in donated services such as booth fee waivers, equipment, and supplies.
