LEESBURG, VA, August 18, 2012 (Press-News.org) K2M, Inc., a spinal device company developing innovative solutions for the treatment of complex spinal pathologies and minimally invasive procedures, today announced a partnership with Cadwell Laboratories, Inc., a leading manufacturer and marketer of diagnostic and monitoring products for neurophysiology, to provide a neuromonitoring solution for the company's RAVINE Lateral Access System. This announcement comes on the first day of the 2012 World Congress of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and Techniques (WCMISST) Conference in Bahia, Brazil.
"K2M's partnership with Cadwell will enable them to offer a complete neuromonitoring solution for their RAVINE Lateral Access System," stated Dr. Faheem Sandhu, neurosurgeon and Associate Professor at Georgetown University Hospital. "These new additions will prove to be very helpful in putting neuromonitoring control into the surgeon's hands."
RAVINE is a flat blade platform providing unique rigid fixation to the patient, which offers enhanced access control for the surgeon. K2M's dissectors are designed to be compatible with the Cadwell technologies to facilitate RAVINE's less disruptive muscle splitting transpsoas approach. The Cadwell Probe System is fully integrated into RAVINE and can be used after retractor placement, fitting down the channels of the lateral blades for further monitoring.
"Our rapid growth at K2M is allowing us to continually invest in new technology advancements and partnerships, which expand on our commitment to offering a best-in-class comprehensive minimally invasive portfolio for surgeons around the world," said Eric Major, K2M's President and CEO. "We are pleased to be partnering with Cadwell Laboratories to deliver a neuromonitoring solution that will enable us to leverage the success of our existing RAVINE Lateral Access System and provide surgeons with more intra-operative options."
"K2M has proven to be one of the most innovative and fastest growing spine companies in the industry and we are very excited to be partnering with them," stated Cory Hatcher, Chief Operating Officer of Cadwell Laboratories, Inc.
K2M is also pleased to announce that Dr. Pierce Nunley will be leading two Hands-On Demonstrations (HODs) featuring the RAVINE Lateral Access System at the WCMISST Conference. These HODs will be held at the exhibit booth of K2M's distribution partner, Promedon, on August 16 and August 17 at 10:30 am.

People may want to use their phones cautiously, however. Every time a person uses a phone, he or she is unwittingly making a record of his or her actions and movements, and those records are showing up as evidence more frequently in Texas ...
