Teamsesco Celebrates 100 Years In Business

Providing service to industry since 1913 reflects TEAMSESCO's commitment in providing high-quality industrial repairs while evolving to meet the needs of its customers.

2012-08-19
GREENSBORO, NC, August 19, 2012 (Press-News.org) TEAMSESCO is proud to announce its upcoming centennial anniversary, celebrating 100 years of service in the industrial repair industry.

Founded in 1913 as a motor repair shop, TEAMSESCO has continually evolved its business to better reflect the needs of an ever-changing manufacturing industry. As those needs have changed, so has TEAMSESCO in an effort to better meet the demands of its clients. Through four generations of the Smith family's dedicated leadership, TEAMSESCO's core business has been in providing technology services to industry. Today, TEAMSESCO is one of the nation's leading industrial electronic repair businesses.

In addition to the energy and excitement of celebrating a historic milestone, TEAMSESCO is proud to introduce several new developments within the company. An updated corporate logo, a new, interactive website, the expansion of it's current servo-systems team and the creation of a marketing and inside sales department, all round out an eventful summer of improvements within the company.

"There has never been a better time to introduce these improvements to our customers," said Stuart Smith, company president. "It demonstrates not only where TEAMSESCO stands today; but also where we're heading in our commitment to growing the business for the next 100 years". Smith says, "In the company's formative days we did everything from motor rewinds to installing signal lights for municipalities." "But, as the industry has changed so have we, in order to meet the needs of our customers." He adds, "When my great grandfather started this business more than one-hundred years ago, it's most likely he never envisioned us repairing 500HP drives, human-machine interfaces or electronic ultraviolet ballast!"

With electronic repair service roots in the Greensboro area dating back to the mid-70's, TEAMSESCO relocated their corporate headquarters to Greensboro from Charlotte in November of 2011. Smith continues, "Over the course of 2013 we will celebrate our 100th anniversary milestone with contests, promotions and something very special to top off the event during the fall of 2013! It's just our way of saying thank-you to our many loyal customers."

Additionally, TEAMSESCO is excited to announce the creation of its new marketing and inside sales department. "TEAMSESCO is one of only a handful of companies in the industry committed to allocating resources to the growth of their business through marketing and direct sales." stated Gary Corns, director of marketing. "Our initial efforts have focused on the continuity of TEAMSESCO's image with an updated logo, new product literature and a new, interactive website." he continues, "The new site allows our customers to instantly receive quotes on their repairs as well as a portal for existing customers, providing real-time access to the status of their jobs." "It is a tremendously helpful customer service tool!" said Corns.

The addition of a new inside sales force will allow for TEAMSESCO to grow beyond its current southeastern roots. "In the past, we have followed a traditional sales model," stated Corns, "In order for us to expand our market, we knew we would need to restructure the way we sell." The addition of new inside sales and marketing representatives will enable TEAMSESCO to grow its client base across North America and Canada.

TEAMSESCO also announces the hiring of additional service technicians in its Greensboro, NC offices. "Expanding our servo-systems team capabilities will allow us to better serve our growing customer base", said Brenda Murphy, operations manager. "While we currently offer some of the best warranty and rush service options in the industry, the additional staff will help us to excel at meeting our customer's needs and expectations as we serve an expanding market."
