MOUNT HOLLY, NJ, August 23, 2012 (Press-News.org) MARK SYSTEMS is pleased to announce that Ronald S. Olson will be joining the company effective September 10th as a Senior Consultant specializing in implementation processes and accounting management services.

Mr. Olson served as Controller and CFO for a number of successful California area home builders beginning in 1997, where he specialized in the selection and implementation of ERP software for those companies. Prior to that, Mr. Olson was Controller / CFO for OMware, Inc. of Sebastopol, CA, developer of the Master Builder construction management software products. Most recently, Mr. Olson was the Managing Member at ROBYX Management, LLC, a Kalama WA consulting firm providing Residential Construction Data Management solutions and business process consulting.

"We are extremely pleased to have Ron bringing his expertise to MARK SYSTEMS' home builder clients" said Mark Finelli, President of MARK SYSTEMS. "His experience in the home building industry is unparalleled, and his ability to understand issues from a builder's perspective and to clearly articulate processes and resolve problems is unique in the industry. We've worked with Ron both as an end user and as a consultant to our other clients, and he's had a fantastic impact on every company he's been involved with. Ron will be an invaluable asset to MARK SYSTEMS and to our clients as our Professional Service offerings expand."

"I've worked with many different home builder software products throughout my career, and MARK SYSEMS' Integrated Homebuilder Management System is by far the top product in the industry." said Mr. Olson. "The ease of use, depth of function and single database give home builders extraordinary control over, and access to, the information critical to their business. I've seen it in action as an end user, and have helped builders across the country maximize profits and productivity using IHMS. I love to see their reaction once builders begin to use all the functions of IHMS and realize the impact it's having on their people, customers and bottom line. I am very excited to be joining the MARK SYSTEMS team."

MARK SYSTEMS has added significantly to it's professional services offering over the last year following the appointment of Robert Cain, C.G.A. as Vice President of Consulting Services. As a Certified Instructor for the NAHB University of Housing, Mr. Cain has broadened the focus of consulting services beyond software implementation, including business processes and "lean management". As a specialist in Lean Building, a CPA and former CFO, Mr. Olson adds significantly to MARK SYSTEMS' menu of services.

MARK SYSTEMS' Integrated Homebuilder Management System is the industry's only single database enterprise software package developed exclusively for residential builders and developers. With full support for back office and field operations, the software provides state-of-the art information processing tools for the homebuilder, including access via the Internet. Using drilling cores from riparian lake sediments, paleontologists and meteorologists from the University of Bonn deduced the climate conditions of the past 10,000 years. This became ...

Natural regeneration building urban forests, altering species composition

2012-08-22
SYRACUSE, N.Y., August 21, 2012 – In forested regions of the nation, natural regeneration may help cities achieve tree cover goals at the expense of maintaining the desired tree species. A study by U.S. Forest Service scientists published recently in Urban Forestry and Urban Greening showed that on average, 1 in 3 trees in sampled cities were planted while two-thirds resulted from natural regeneration.
