LAKE ARROWHEAD, CA, October 06, 2010 (Press-News.org) During the month of October, you'll find no shortage of events that call themselves Oktoberfest celebrations. But it takes more than beer and bratwurst to make an authentic Oktoberfest.
The Alpine setting of Lake Arrowhead Village, an easy drive from LA, Orange County and San Diego, is where you might expect to find the most authentic Oktoberfest celebration in Southern California, with real Bavarian music, food, beer and traditional games and festivities. And Lake Arrowhead Village is the only place in Southern California where you can celebrate Oktoberfest for free.
Oktoberfest begins at Lake Arrowhead Village on Saturday October 2nd and will continue every weekend through Sunday October 30th. Festivities run from 12 noon to 4 pm every Saturday and Sunday in October.
Oktoberfest has been a tradition in Lake Arrowhead Village for decades. But a few years ago, Village owners built a concert stage and entertainment area called Center Stage, which is a replica of the stage that existed in Lake Arrowhead Village in the 1920s. In recent months, Village Management has been doing much to dress-up the property with additions of grassy areas, better concert seating, fountains, and more. This year's Oktoberfest will feature a variety of authentic Bavarian bands including; Edelweiss on October 9th and 10th, Bavarian Holiday on October 3rd, 17th, 24th and 30th, and the Rheinlanders on October 2nd, 16th and 23rd
Make a whole weekend of your Oktoberfest celebration by taking in all the fun at Lake Arrowhead Village. Lake Arrowhead Village has more than forty shops and boutiques, plus rides and games for the kids and numerous lakeside restaurants.
Reserve a table for Oktoberfest at Lake Arrowhead Village by calling 909-337-2533.
