MONTREAL, CANADA, October 06, 2010 (Press-News.org) Matrox Graphics Inc., the leading manufacturer of specialized graphics solutions, is pleased to announce that Three Palm Software has developed support for Matrox Xenia Pro display controller boards for its WorkstationOne breast imaging workstation solution. This cooperation provides radiologists with an advanced triple-monitor platform to efficiently manage their digital mammography workflow, while simplifying installation and configuration.
WorkstationOne is a full-featured breast imaging workstation, with an emphasis on efficient interpreting workflow and expert viewing methodologies such as Tabar's systematic viewing masks. WorkstationOne supports IHE mammography image profile and provides rich enterprise integration features. WorkstationOne is a software product that can be installed on an off-the-shelf general purpose computer with one or two gray-scale high resolution monitors and one color monitor.
"We are bundling a number of new features in the 1.4.5 release of WorkstationOne," said Patrick Heffernan, CTO at Three Palm Software. "A key element to WorkstationOne is that it remains hardware-neutral — and this collaboration with Matrox now allows us to fully support their Xenia Pro display controller boards. This offers our customers the ability to assemble a single-board solution for a 3-monitor mammography workstation, meaning also that they have more flexibility in the selection of the hosting computer. WorkstationOne 1.4.5 will be on display at the upcoming RANZCR conference."
Matrox Xenia Series' triple digital display support from a single slot board including forward- and backward-compatibility with a broad range of display brands, resolutions and formats, fits well with Three Palm Software's mammography workstations. Pristine image quality at resolutions ranging from under 1MP up to 8MP and new technology to enable optimum display calibration (via Matrox DLC and 8/10/13-bit gamma LUTs) are also key benefits. 1GB of on-board memory for smooth, reliable performance boosts overall productivity, facilitating efficient diagnosis and reporting by medical imaging professionals on any known and approved display.
"Matrox is proud to collaborate with Three Palm Software in the development of breast imaging solutions using the Xenia Pro display controller board," said George Rigas, Business Development Manager for Medical Imaging, Matrox Graphics Inc. "The efficient user interface of WorkstationOne combined with extensive features of Xenia Pro offer mammography professionals a unique experience in meeting their most demanding needs."
Visit Three Palm Software at RANZCR 2010 in the Imaging Solutions booth to experience WorkstationOne using Matrox Xenia Series display controller boards.
