SACRAMENTO, CA, August 25, 2012 (Press-News.org) Cosmetic surgery can bring about great changes in people, and for many the change is more than simply physical, says Dr. Christa Clark, who practices plastic surgery in Sacramento.
"Breast augmentation, in particular, can have a profound effect on women's lives," Dr. Clark says. "It plays an important role in a woman's overall body image and sense of femininity. I've seen cases where after breast augmentation, Sacramento women changed their lives drastically. Many women also set higher personal and professional goals - and succeed at those goals."
Dr. Clark points out that breast augmentation is one of many procedures that have beneficial effects. On her website, she shares a number of Real Patient Stories that illustrate changes that have taken place after various types of cosmetic surgery.
For one woman from Sacramento, plastic surgery meant she was able to feel comfortable in a bikini again. Carrying and nursing four children left her stomach stretched, and her breasts deflated and lopsided.
Dr. Clark performed an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), and a breast lift with a breast augmentation. Following recovery, the patient says she feels healthier and she's excited to shop for fun clothes.
Women also experience renewed confidence following breast reduction surgery, a breast lift or a body lift. Others receive the boosts they need from simpler procedures, such as BOTOX Cosmetic to alleviate facial wrinkles or CoolSculpting to accent their body contours and achieve a smoother, trimmer shape.
"No matter what your problem area, you owe it to yourself to consider what plastic surgery or a non-invasive body contouring procedure can do for you," Dr. Clark says.
Dr. Clark offers seminars for patients who want to learn more about a specific procedure, or have questions about their options for cosmetic enhancement. She is hosting a breast enhancement seminar on September 13th at 7:00 pm at her office. For more information and to RSVP, visit her website.
As a woman and mother, Dr. Christa Clark has a special perspective that allows her to connect with her patients and understand their needs and goals. After receiving her medical degree from Wayne State University, graduating in the top 10 of her class, she completed a residency in general surgery and plastic surgery at Stanford University Medical Center. A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, she is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. She combines her outstanding attention to detail with her exceptional knowledge of plastic surgery to deliver beautiful, natural-looking results.

Whether belonging to a member of the growing group of baby boomers filing for divorce or to someone who is part of a younger generation, retirement accounts and pensions are often a major consideration when determining how to split marital property.
Retirement accounts are often a major portion of the total assets accumulated throughout a marriage. Common retirement vehicles include pensions and 401(k) plans. A 401(k) plan is a tax-friendly account built through employee contributions made from each paycheck and sometimes matched in part by the employer, while a pension ...

2012-08-25
Lump sum payments in workers' compensation cases have been a long debated issue. Employers believe that they are unnecessary expenses and that they only encourage injured workers to stay unemployed, while employee advocates contend that lump sum payments are important in helping injured workers maintain a reasonable standard of living if they cannot work.
The Workers' Compensation Research Institute (WCRI) conducted a study to examine the issue and found that lump sum settlements actually encouraged injured workers to return to work. Bogdan Savych, a public policy analyst ...
Paternity in Florida: An Overview
2012-08-25
Before a man is able to have all of the rights and responsibilities of being a father, he must be determined to be the "legal father" of his son or daughter -- this is done by establishing paternity.
Establishing Paternity
In the state of Florida, if a couple is married, the husband is presumed to be the legal father of a child born during the marriage without any other evidence. However, if a couple is unmarried, paternity will need to be established before a man will be recognized as the legal father of a child.
In addition to marriage, paternity can ...
