The Fruit Exchange Selects Bleep for its Manchester Fruit Revolution

Manchester's first fruit emporium rolls out Bleep EPOS technology for the front and back of house

2012-08-26
LONDON, UK, August 26, 2012 (Press-News.org) Bleep UK PLC has installed a new EPOS system for the Fruit Exchange, a new convenience concept centred on fresh fruit produce. As a unique start up based in the Deansgate area of Manchester, the Fruit Exchange offers smoothies, fruit juices, fruit slushies, frozen yoghurt, milkshakes, coffee and snacks.

Bleep was selected by the Fruit Exchange due to their proven track record and experience within the industry and the innovative and unique design and aesthetics of Bleep's EPOS systems. This meant they were well suited to the look and feel of the environment, different to anything else on the market, but also featuring all the functionalities required to assist this new business as it looks to grow and establish itself. Best of breed was the ethos throughout the start up, whether this is materials, EPOS or produce, but perhaps further evidenced by the North West's first iPad controlled coffee maker, highlighting their desire for innovation and to provide a unique experience for customers.

An ultra-convenient EPOS system was required, one which could provide fast and accurate transactions, while also allowing for complete control and management over the back of house, through sales, stock and staff. As with any fast service environment, reliability and robustness were also key considerations and due to the level of investment that has gone into the establishment, it was also important that the system fit in with the aesthetics of the site and the trendy, hi-tech environment.

The Fruit Exchange chose to install the Bleep TS-915 Touch Screen Terminals in black, including customer facing LCD video displays for internal advertising in the form of offers and promotions at the point of sale, designed to upsell, raise brand awareness and also enhance the customer experience. The cloud based Web Back Office will provide complete control over sales and stock, with live data accessible from anywhere in the world. This allows the Fruit Exchange to control all aspects of their operation, enabling the early analysis of sales trends, popular products and levels of demand, allowing for more informed management decisions.

Bleep has deployed an EPOS system tailor made for the Fruit Exchange, designed specifically to maximise efficiency while also helping their operation run smoothly on a daily basis, serving customers quickly and accurately, while also providing a positive customer experience. This has been done through a combination of innovative hardware and bespoke software, in addition to a proven track record of delivering these benefits within the industry. The system has been designed to grow alongside the business, with further benefits realised in line with any growth or expansion, such as the potential for revenue stream opportunities from the customer facing LCD displays.

The Fruit Exchange prides itself on being different and unique, in regards to a generic fruit and smoothie bar, emphasised by its quirky design and modern take on an industrial style, in keeping with the local area. Ahead of its opening on the 25th of August, Tom Osborne, Owner of the Fruit Exchange said, "We are very pleased with our Bleep EPOS system, both in terms of how it looks and how it works. Even after such a short space of time, I am confident we made the right choice in Bleep ahead of our official opening." Gordon Bolton, Managing Director of Bleep UK PLC commented, "Bleep is proud to support new and ambitious businesses and to assist them with their growth and success through an effective and efficient EPOS system. We are proud to play a role in the fruit revolution, right here on our doorstep in Manchester!"
