SARASOTA, FL, August 30, 2012 (Press-News.org) The firm of Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm & Ginsburg, P.A., is pleased to announce that Arthur D. Ginsburg, a senior counselor at the law firm, has received special recognition and a commemorative plaque from Martindale-Hubbell, an organization that provides an objective indicator of a lawyer's ethical standards and professional ability through a peer review process.

For 30 consecutive years, Mr. Ginsburg has received the highest "AV Pre-Eminent" rating from the organization and its participants. His practice area is Family and Domestic Relations Law.

Martindale-Hubbell PEER REVIEW RATINGS survey is a process where attorneys receive ratings based on evaluations by other members of the bar and judiciary. Participating attorneys throughout the United States and Canada rank attorneys in similar areas of practice. Reviewers are asked to assess their colleagues' general ethical standards and legal ability. Specific rating categories include: Legal Knowledge, Analytical Capabilities, Judgment, Communication Ability and Legal Experience.

In addition to his regular practice, Mr. Ginsburg has been a volunteer with Legal Aid of Manasota since 1991 and has been consistently recognized for his service to low income individuals and families. He was selected as the 2012 Florida Bar President's Pro Bono Service Award winner for the 12th Judicial Circuit, which includes Sarasota, Manatee and Desoto counties.

As past President of the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, past Chairman of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, Mr. Ginsburg was appointed by the Supreme Court to the Commission on Family Law, and is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a marital and family lawyer. He has also been President of the Sarasota County Bar Association and a past chairman of the Judicial Qualification Commission of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit of Florida. He has been listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" each year since the inception of that publication.
